    DePaul University's Department of Geography collaborated with Studio CHI to host NASA's weekend-long Space App Hackathon on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30. Since the event, the entities have collaborated on many other events including a discussion about the Young Lords in Chicago and "Conflict Urbanism," a presentation by guest speaker Juan Saldarriage from Columbia University.

    In the most recent Student Government Association elections, students said "Yes" on a referendum to add $2 to the quarterly student activity fee, an increase from $25 to $27. This increase will support a scholarship for those who are ineligible to file for federal aid. In recognition of the referendum, the Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M., president of DePaul, approved the fee increase just a few days following the announcement of the results.
