Women's basketball team heads to 15th consecutive NCAA Tournament

The DePaul women's basketball team is going dancin' for the 15th season in a row. This year, the Blue Demons are headed to Starkville, Mississippi as a No. 7 seed, playing Northern Iowa at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 17 on ESPN2.  

Head coach Doug Bruno and the Blue Demons captured an impressive fourth straight BIG EAST Conference Regular Season Title.  They look to continue their momentum into the NCAA Tournament, where the team has already had some valuable experience, reaching the Sweet 16 in two of the last three seasons. The team, led by several seasoned veterans, includes senior All-American candidates Brooke Schulte, Jessica January and Jacqui Grant.

Every NCAA Tournament game will be carried on the ESPN family of networks. DePaul's first-round game is scheduled for broadcast at 11 a.m. this Friday, March 17, on ESPN2. Live streaming on Watch ESPN is available. DePaul students, faculty and staff are invited to stop by the Lincoln Park Campus game watch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. this Friday inside the Athletics Annex at 2314 N. Sheffield Ave. Pizza will be served.
