Wintrust Arena opened to the public on Saturday with an official ribbon cutting ceremony, behind-the-scenes tours and practices for DePaul's men's and women's basketball teams. "After nearly 40 years, Blue Demon basketball is back where it belongs, in the City of Chicago," said Dr. A. Gabriel Esteban, president of DePaul.
The Strategic Planning Task Force will host a series of town hall meetings this fall to solicit university input to the 2024 plan that is now under development. All faculty, staff and students are welcome at any of the sessions to provide ideas and suggestions to the planning teams.

On Monday, Nov. 6, The Theatre School will host Lights Up!, its annual fundraiser supporting student scholarships. Alumnus John C. Reilly is an honorary co-chair for Lights Up! and will appear at the 2017 event as a part of the program on the Fullerton Stage.
An interactive exhibition that encourages play and offers guests a look at the world of games beyond what's found on Xbox or Steam is set to open Oct. 20 at the Chicago Design Museum. Co-curators Brian Schrank and LeAnne Wagner, both DePaul School of Design faculty members, created "Hey! Play! Games in Modern Culture" with all ages and experience levels in mind.
