    Since January 2017, Joshua Smyser-DeLeon has served in DePaul's Catholic Campus Ministry as a coordinator of faith formation and the Latinx outreach coordinator. From organizing faith-based retreats to helping Latinx students become leaders in their communities, Smyser-DeLeon dedicates his time on campus to creating a welcoming environment for Blue Demons from all backgrounds.

    Internationally acclaimed performers will headline an 11-day music festival this November to celebrate the new Holtschneider Performance Center on DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus. Named for the university's most recent former president - the Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M. - the new 185,000-square-foot performance center is set to open for classes and concerts this fall.

    As the result of a joint effort between the Student Government Association and Facility Operations, DePaul is implementing the use of roof-top solar panels around its Lincoln Park campus. The first round of installations, which will be located atop the McGowan North and 1150 W. Fullerton buildings, is slated for this summer. DePaul is among the first universities in the Chicago area to use solar panels to reduce its carbon footprint.
