An accomplished outdoor wilderness expert, Jay Braatz has led sailing expeditions along the coast of Maine and hiking tours in the Alps. She's also served as the vice president for planning and presidential administration for two university presidents, as well as overseen the development of DePaul's strategic plans. If you ask her which of these tasks is harder, she'll probably respond with laughter and wit. After 14 years at DePaul, Braatz will retire on July 2. 

Two town hall meetings soliciting feedback on the draft strategic plan attracted standing room only crowds, demonstrating the investment faculty, staff and students are making in envisioning DePaul's future. 

Did you know one of Chicago's Major League Baseball teams once used DePaul's Athletic Field as its stadium for a season? Many have heard this snippet of information relayed on tours at Wrigley Field, but it was not the Chicago Cubs who played at DePaul. The DePaul Parent Connection and the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity invite faculty and staff to register for Take Your Child to Work Day 2018, scheduled for Thursday, April 26. Reigstration is required and due by Friday, April 13. 

Faculty who wish to serve as expert sources are encouraged to join the DePaul Newsroom Experts Guide, a searchable database designed for journalists. It is updated regularly, but faculty must opt-in to the guide by creating a profile.

Previously available only to students, DePaul faculty and staff now have access to the university's very own technical support team, the Genius Squad, for assistance with their DePaul-owned computers and mobile devices. The team is open for free consultations and services on both the Lincoln Park and Loop Campuses.
